Friday 9:16 PM New York City Docks Batman was a very busy bat lately. The media had been quite a fan of his as well and the name Batman was becoming rather well known. He had to admit part of himself was proud. Dick had lived up to Bruce's legacy. However, there was another part of himself that stilled hated the Batman persona. Dick had spent so much time lately focusing on saving money and fighting crime that his hatred of the cowl had lessened and he was able to perform amazingly well. He still missed the Nightwing mantle a lot more. After all Nightwing belonged to HIM. He had created it and made himself his own hero. Dick had his own city to protect, but that was all in the past now. He had to move on.Dick was dressed in his Batman outfit. He was standing on the edge of a brick building overlooking the large New York shipping yard. There were about five large ships docked there waiting to be unloaded in the morning. However, Batman wasn't focusing on those right now. What he was looking at was two 1940s looking cars driving up the docks. He jumped from the roof silently and gliding across the street and over the fence that surrounded the outside of the docks. He landed on a large red metal crate and moved as silently and as quickly as he could crouching to stay hidden the cars slowing down to maneuver through the maze of Cargo containers.
Batman followed them to a clearing at the end of the Docks. He jumped down quietly and made his way behind a stack of crates that allowed him a decent view of the area whilst remaining hidden. Batman was following up a lead he had gotten from a lower level thug. The Angelo Mafia which operated in New York were meeting with the Doragon no kagidzume a Yakuza group. Batman had learned from the mobster that the meeting was going to be a trade. The Doragon no kagidzume were trading high quality Opium for the Angelo's weapon shipments. As batman watched the doors to the cars open. 4 men in long tench coats and fedoras stepped out. "Stereotypical much...?" Batman muttered with a smirk.
There was a van parked opposite the mobster's cars and three men stepped out of it and walked forward. They were wearing stylish dark suits and he could see several tattoos. "The Yakuza.."
The men approached each other and they began to speak. The Yakuza went first.
"Greetings, you honor us with your cooperation. This will prove most lucrative for both sides." The man's voice was gruff and sound tough.
The Mobster spoke next offering the Yakuza man a cigarette.
"Eh, no problem buddy, We just glad wes workin togethers n not killing each others no more."
The Yakuza took the smoke and allowed the Mobster to light it before smoking. He took a deep breath before speaking in a more formal tone. This Yakuza had little to no accent, this must not be his first rodeo.
"Do you have the stuff?" The Yakuza asked.
The Mobster nodded and motioned to one of the three in the back. "Hey Jimmy, get the stuff for our most honorable guest!" The Mobster known as Jimmy walked to the car and pulled out a steel brief case. He walked over and handed it to the Yakuza who opened it and pulled out a Military rifle. He looked it over a small smile on his face.
"This man right heres got a eye for class. Best in the US of A my friend. Vi do il mio mondo (I give you my word) " The Mobster could tell the Yakuza was pleased and he waited as the Yakuza turned and spoke in Japanese to one of his two allies who brought out four similar steel cases. They opened it and from the look on the Mobster face the Opium was in prime condition.
Batman had seen enough and he got up slowly and took out an explosive remote batarang and he threw it hard at the drugs. It landed with a Thunk sound in the drugs before Batman triggered it to Explode destroying the drugs. The Yakuza and Mobster jumped back swearing. However, Batman was already sprinting full speed at them and he jumped into the air kicking both of them square in the jaw sending them down hard.
Batman whirled around tossing a Batarang into a other Yakuza hand running to him and giving him a one two punch to the face before snapping his arm bone. One last Yakuza to go Batman smiled and taunted in Japanese. "Soshite, watashi wa anata ga tafuna orokana watashida to omotte imashita!" (And I thought you were tough. Silly me!") He kicked the Yakuza in the chest before following with a quick uppercut sending him back into the van where he slide down out cold.
Batman threw out a smoke bomb aiming it towards the Mobsters now. It exploded and he was able to take out two of them fairly easily. This was wicked easy he thought to himself as he took a breath. And no sooner did the thought leave his mind did everything go to hell. There was a Screeching sound as a third old looking car pulled up. Three more mobster jumped out ... with M16s loaded and ready. Batman dove and rolled the bullets flying at him.
"SMOKE THIS S.O.B! I WANT THE BAT DEAD! BOSS WILL GIVE US BIG MONEY IF WES DOES THIS!"
Batman growled to himself and he ducked behind the van the bullets slamming into the van. This wasn't good he had made a mistake. Not waited long enough ,acted to quickly and now he was pinned down. He might be able to outlast their ammo depending, but his best bet was to wait for them to reload and make a dash for the water. There were still five mobsters left.

A warm summer breeze flew over New York City. Perched on top of an abandoned bakery, Ms Marvel surveyed her new turf. How does she do it in the winter? Kamala was ready to ditch the classic Carol Denvers costume at the first sign of fall. Stepping around the rooftop, the young hero scanned the neighborhood for trouble. Another breeze flew past. Give me long sleeves and a scarf, or give me death! Preferably not the latter. Though if the government had its way, Ms Marvel would long be a goner. Maybe I should stay underground. Protect Molly. There are enough things to do.
A burst of gunshots echoed from the West. Ms Marvel turned around. Crossing the rooftop, she looked for the source of the sound. Another burst. This time, Kamala located the source. The docks. The gunshots were now nearly continuous. The police won't come there. That wasn't a mutie neighborhood. More of a mafia spot. Kamala took a couple of steps back. Then, rushing ahead, she jumped off the rooftop. Longs stretched impossibly to catch the edge of the next building. As her body then shrank eightfold, Ms Marvel lifted herself onto the roof. Her body then grew again, ready for the next launch.
A minute later the superhero landed behind a stack of crates. Neck stretching out, Kamala tried to make out the situation. Another salve of gunshots made her retract her head. Is it safe? No. That's why she was in the business. Don't take unnecessary risks. She could almost hear her Ma's voice. Sighing, Kamala took out a small mirror. Then, stretching her arm, she tried to get an angled view into the scene. The first thing she saw was a lot of smoke. Ms Marvel could vaguely make the ouline of a van. The only thing that was clear were the brilliant nuzzles of the machine guns delivering their salve.
What to do? She couldn't rush in. Kamala barely knew how many enemies there were. Plus, guns were scary. Looking around, the girl scanned for something to throw. Nothing too heavy. She didn't want to kill anyone. Just distract the goons enough. Hopefully that would give her time to sneak closer. That trash! The small container was filled with smelly garbage.
A moment later and Ms Marvel stood on top of her container. Oversized hands formed fists around half a dozen trash bags each. "Yo! Stinkheads!" A first volley of trash bags flew towards the van. "Garbage cleaning time!" She had time to throw the second cluster of smell-bombs before a bullets responded in kind. Using her oversized hands, Ms Marvel shielded her body. She felt at least three bullets bite into her skin. Ouch. Kamala jumped down from her container. Then, with as much strength as she could muster, she pushed it. The large metal block screeched forward. It stopped a couple of yards before the van, reducing the assailants' cone of fire.
In the meantime, Kamala downsized her hands and ran to the left. The bullets dropped out of her outsized limbs like flies, leaving behind nasty little red spots. Licking her wounds, Ms Marvel jumped behind another container, this one much closer to the van. "Note to self: get some more disinfectant." The young woman had only given a cursory look around her new hiding spot. She now looked around again. It was dark, not exposed to the goons and... Kyyyyaaa!!
In a moment of panic, Kamala's fists ballooned again. She swathed against the dark figure lurking next to her.

Batman was pinned down with no window to move. He could feel the bullets now ripping threw the frontside of the van rattling against the metal that he had his back pressed to. He gritted his teeth as he waited for the perfect moment. He had to retreat at least for a little bit. This position would leave him way to exposed. He reached in his belt and looked around for any flash pallets. However, he heard a noise. Batman peeked his pointed head out and looked out.
"Yo! Stinkheads!"
Batman raised an eyebrow. Stinkheads ... really that the best this newcomer had? He smirked, it looks like reinforcements had arrived just in time. He then saw a Thrash cans fly at the van slamming into it. The van lurched and slapped against his back and he gritted his teeth. "Okay maybe the chancery should have stayed home!' He hissed softly.
"Garbage cleaning time!"
Batman might have cringed a little. He made a personal goal of whoever had come to save him would get the reward of a quip lesson taught by him. The trash hit the car again and he groaned softly. "My back is gonna kill me later!"
Batman watched the mafia turn and begin to fire at the new arrival. Batman watched her as she ran and ... stretched and morphed her body. His mind instantly went to Plastic Man. He then slapped himself for comparing this heroic yet young girl to Plastic Man. He watched her closely judging her as Bruce had taught him. She had powers, but she was rash and very headstrong so far. However, she showed a lot of skill and talent.
The girl then pushed a large container at the thugs making them fall back and stumble but kept firing at the girl. Their bullets didn't seem to greatly affect her. So, augmented strength as well as increase durability. This Girl seemed to be pretty lucky on the power front. Batman watched as she started to head in his direction.
"How the hell is this girly? The Bat's partner!? Our bullets ain't doing nothing! Lousy supers! Keep firing!"
And they did. Batman couldn't really move at all as The Girl jumped behind a container not five feet away from his hiding spot. Batman opened his mouth to speak, but before he could she turned and spotted him.
"Kyaaaaaaa!"
A large fist hurled itself at Batman and he performed a back spring to avoid the damage. "Hey, Hey, Lady Stretch Armstrong! I'm one of the good guys! I'm Batman! Chill!" He held up his arms until she calmed down before speaking. "Thanks for the assist. You got some interesting abilities. However, could you try not to hurt me?"
He peeked out again. The Mobsters where looking around for them. However, Batman noted that they were staying rather close together. And then an idea hit him. He grinned chuckling darkly up his breath and he turned to his current partner. "I ... I think they are out of ammo, look they are too scared to move."
Batman stood up slowly and looked at her. "I'm not sure of your name, but you are definitely a hero. So, some advice, work on your one liners. Try to get them mad, go for the low blows!" After this was all over, Batman was going to have a lot of question for her. He had never seen this person before. She wasn't from his world maybe she was from this one.
"Alrighty, I'm gonna run out and draw their attention, I want you to attack from behind you should be able to take them out with ease. I need you to back me up." Batman might just have met her, but she was all he had right now and for some reason he did trust her.
Batman jumped and pulled himself onto the roof of the van. "Give it up, lay down your weapons or I'll bada bing my fist into each of your faces and beat the crap outta you capisce?" He spoke in a taunting but intimidating tone his eyes narrowing dramatically in his cowl.
One of the thugs raised his gun and pulled the trigger. It clicked. They WERE out of ammo. Batman grinned and he jumped and flipped acrobatically in the air before landing and sprinting at one of the thugs. He punched the thug with a mean right hook to the jaw sending him spinning into his friends. The thugs surrounded Batman to overwhelm him, but his was part of Batman plan. They jumped at him and Batman jumped higher and over the group before grabbing a flashbang and shouting, "Shut your eyes kid!" He threw it closing his eyes it went off blinding the thugs.
"NOW KID TAKE THEM OUT!"

Kamala calmed down as the looming figure dodged her attack and simply replied. There was a lot of information to process at once. A good guy? "Bat... man?" And Lady Stretch Armstrong? He didn't recognize Carol Denvers? "So you really aren't from my world..." Both Kamala and Molly had tried really hard to think of a super who dressed like a bat. "Please don't suck my blood!" She took a step back, shielding herself with those giant hands again.
The next exchange was new to Kamala. This was her first time meeting another hero face-to-face. "I thought I got them pretty mad. They shot at me." What followed was a plan. A risky plan from the bat-person. "Er, if you think that's a good idea..." Kamala didn't have much time to think. The man in black was getting ready to make a move. He must have a healing factor or something. What kind of powers did vampires have? Like real ones, not the twilight type.
The other hero jumped out and pulled himself on the roof of the van. Sleek moves. Kamala wasn,t as impressed by the taunts. But then, she could only see the batman from behind. The teen was missing the scowling glare Dick Grayson was famous for. There was a moment's hesitation, followed by random clicking sounds. Lots of yelling and punching sounds later, and Kamala was wondering when she would come in. Is he ok? Is he sucking their blood? Maybe that's why he didn't want Ms Marvel to interfere.
But then the raucous voice echoed through the docks. Shut your eyes. And take them out. Slightly annoyed at being called a kid in her Carol Denver appearance, Kamala jumped in and unleashed her frustration. "This is for shooting at me. This is for questioning my ability" She kept punching and punching. With every connecting hit, her fists grew larger and heavier. The first ones just dazzled the opponents. But quickly the gigantic clubs were drawing blood. "And this is for your crappy world. This is for your mutant hate." Kamala was barely able to keep her Carol Denver persona up. Her hair was turning auburn again. Her body shrank to normal size all while her arms swung wildly around. "And this is for ruining our pancakes!" With a last effort, Kamala stretched both her arms, rotating like a crazy whirlwind while finishing off whomever was still left standing. The teen then unceremoniously crashed onto the ground.

Batman had thrown his cape up after throwing his flashbang shielding himself from the blast. As he had ordered her the Girl had jumped out from behind her hiding spot and began to attack the thugs with her super human abilities. They didn't stand a chance against her. She was similar to some heroes he knew of in his world but, she seemed to have a lot more control and options with her powers.
However, Batman's plan had been right. The thugs were down for the count and his distraction had worked. He walked over to the panting girl who was now looking entirely different. "Ooooh so that's how much you can alter your body, you look a lot younger ... might as well drop the make up."
Batman walked past her and he picked up one of the thugs she had just beaten into submission and he back handed him hard across the face. Batman turned to look at her. "Oh, sorry give me a minute, then we'll talk more.", He said with a smile before focusing on the man in his hands.
"Eh, you don't know whos yous is messing with Batfreak! Don Angelo is gonna have a price on your head for this! Yous best be ready and your freaky Super friend over there too!! You're all dead!" The Mobster was trying to act tough.
Batman slammed the man hard against one of the metal crates and growled at him. "I've survived much worse then you two bit Gang bangers! And I'm pretty damn sure she can take care of you punks as well. Now if you don't want me to break your arm you are gonna give me something I can use to take down your boss!" He narrowed his eyes again. He was getting good at this, maybe even Bruce would be impressed.
The man was visibly shaken after all Batman might be new to the town but news of the way he took care of business traveled fast. "I ... if I talk they'll kill me."
Batman sighed and punched the man in the face. "Listen buddy, I don't really want to hurt you and my friend over there just took out your whole crew ... you don't have a choice!"
The man cursed in Italian as blood ran down his lips. "Okay! Okay! I get it!"
Batman threw him to the ground a smile on his face. "Good, now talk."
"Alright, well the Angelo family is planning to run some of Ghetto Gangs outta their territory and take the lucrative drug trade of ourselves. That's why wes in bed with the Yakuza."
Batman smiled at him. "There that wasn't so bad." He then kicked the man hard in the face knocking him back out. With that done he turned back to Kamala. "You did good work, if not a little reckless, so what do I call you? You know I'm Batman, but you haven't told me your name."
Batman made his way around the area cuffing each of the thugs with wire from his utility belt. "Also, I don't suck blood. I ain't a Vampire." He looked at her with an amused smirk.
He turned his NYPD communication function on to intercept any news after all Supers weren't very welcome here.
"All units we have a 10S-24 down at the Shipyard SWAT is inbound. Snipers will scout from the roof off 25th and Walter st."
"Hey, we got SWAT incoming...we should be ready to get out of here." Tag: Kamala Khan

Kamala looked down when the bat man mentioned her age. "Sh... Drat." Straining her eyes, she tried to shapeshift again. Her hair glowed golden for a moment. But she couldn't keep it up. "Head... hurts." Somehow, the headache felt worse than the bruised hands. Despite that, she tried to focus on the other hero's interrogation. Then Batman knocked the guy out. Kamala winced. Then she said, "I know some of the gangs that already fled to New Jersey." The first thing the teen had done was go back to her neighborhood. No mention of the Khan family. Plenty of drug traffickers fleeing the city. It had been disheartening. "It's pretty bad out there. Barely recognized the place. And I'm Ms. Marvel." There was a pause. Then a moment of panic crossed Kamala's face. "Not the real one. Please, please don't tell the Avengers!" Angst. The familiar guilt at taking Carol Denver's identity returned. "I'm just... borrowing the... costume... for now." Feet shifted guiltily, "You know, because there aren't many American-Pakistanis and I want to keep my family safe." Though whether her family even existed on this plane was unclear.
The Batman intercepted some security channel. Wide-eyed, Kamala almost grabbed the device. "How can I get one of those. That thing would make my rounds so much easier!" But then she realized that they needed to get out quick. "Got it. Time to leave." Reflexively, Kamala looked down and around. Where's the nearest manhole? It was a new instinct, picked up as she joined the community of abnormals. "There!" Having recovered her breath, Kamala had the energy to stretch her legs, leaping towards the sewer entrance. Giant hands then stretched out to twist the lid. It was thrown unceremoniously into the sea. "After you, old man." She hadn't quite forgiven the make-up comment.
Once they were on they were a bit further away, Kamala tried to strike up a conversation. Her legs shifted in length again, matching those of the hero in black. "So, er, I know... you aren't from my world. I know all the supers in my world." There was a note of pride in the teen's voice. Arms swung confidently. "How does super-heroing work in this one? I'm a little new to the whole thing in general. But any hints on what stuff to avoid doing in this world would be particularly helpful." There was a pause as she realized something. "Oh. And if you aren't a vampire, what are your superpowers?"

For once Molly was where Kamala had left her.
The child uncurled from a pink ball, wrapped curled in her cape, and hugged her Doop plushie for a half-awake moment. Molly was not a morning person, and certainly not a middle-of-the-night person. The little girl loved to sleep, but when she'd fallen asleep Kamala had been there. Now their little camp was decidedly Kamala-less.
It took her a few moments to realize that she was alone. "Kamala?" she asked, the sleep vanishing from her eyes as it became obvious that she was alone. Had the older girl wandered a bit away to find a place to pee? Had somebody kidnapped her? Molly curled around her doll, her eyes wide, and tried to figure out what to do.
Footsteps broke her from the stone-cast of indecision. "Kamala!" Molly hopped to her feet, wearing her pink cape, and toting along a really ugly plushie. She smiled as soon as she saw the older teen, but the smile dropped from her face when she saw what loomed behind her. "KITTY MAN!" the child cried out, warning her friend, as she pointed at the figure of Batman. "Watch out! He's gunna get you!"

Batman remained quiet as the girl spoke allowing her to speak as he searched for an exit. She was talking about burrowing someones identity. Avengers? Batman had no idea who that group was, but whatever they were they seemed to be a superhero team. She then talked about the reason she took the identity. To protect her. Oh LORD! How Batman could relate to this. Bruce's number one lesson. Keep your identity a strict secret. She shouted out that she had found an entrance and Batman hurried after here jumping down after shooting her a smirk at calling him old man. He jumped down into the sewers before speaking. "I don't know any group called the Avengers., I don't know a Carol Denver. However, Ms. Marvel you've proven to be capable and a hero. And hey don't hide behind someone else. Make it your own. Hell, I've only been Batman a short while. I started out as a kid hero too. My mentor was the first Bats." He turned on a flashlight in his gauntlet. "Him and I, we couldn't be more different. If you had met him ... well, let's just say you'd be sent home grounded. But he isn't Batman anymore ... he's gone. I'm thankful for all he taught me, but in the end I'm not him, and I won't try to be. So if you wanna be Ms. Marvel or whatever. Make it your own and make your idol proud."
He ruffled around in his belt and he pulled out a small computer ear piece and tossed it to her. "I'm trusting you with this okay? It's what I use to track the NYPD. Don't break it ... it ain't cheap!" He said as he walked with the young hero. She then asked about superheroing in this new world and Batman looked at her again. "It's risky, from what I know the government does NOT like you Meta-Humans. Oh, Meta-Human is a term from my earth for people with powers. But yeah, like I said they don't really like us at all."Batman turned to her as she asked what powers he had and he smiled at her. "Heh, it was hard from people on my Earth to come to terms with it too." With that he turns around and walked down the tunnels following Kamala whilst providing the light for her. They soon arrived in an area that looked like a makeshift home and Batman blinked at Kamala. "Y ... you don't LIVE here do you!?" A weird parental instinct kicked on inside him. He couldn't just let the teen stay here alone. It was far to dang- "KITTY MAN! WATCH OUT HE'S GONNA GET YOU!!"
Batman blinked looking down at an adorable little girl clutching a horrible plushie and dressed in dirty clothes with a pink cape and a bunny hat. "Hey, hey now sweetie. I'm with Kamala don't worry me and her teamed up earlier to beat up some bad guys." He bent down and gave her a warm smile. "I'm Batman, I'm a hero like her. Who're you?"
He looked at Kamala giving her a look that shouted his disapproval of them living like this. How could they have survived down here? Batman decided. Regardless of what happened after this encounter these girls were going to have a new ally and enough damn money for at least food and a Hotel room for a week. Kamala nodded when Batman said he didn't know the Avengers. She blushed slightly as the man called her a hero. It felt good, like a job well done. Even if she still felt guilty because things didn't always work out. Kamala was about to mumble something along the lines I'm not hiding behind anyone, when Batman explained his own story. Sensing a certain emotion in the man clad in black, she carefully asked, "What... happened to him, the... first Batman?" Or maybe there had been more Batmans before? It seemed like there had been a clash in styles between the two generations. "I'd love to make her proud. But there are a lot of teen superheroes in my world trying to be an Avenger. And I'm just trying to protect my neighborhood in Jersey." That was, until she got 'ported into this dimension.
When Batman threw his earpiece, Kamala immediately grew her left hand. It caught the little device. "What kind of batteries does it run on?" Picking it up with her normal-sized hand, the teen inspected the tiny thing with acute interest. "How many frequencies do you usually check?" The term metahuman had Kamala stop. Looking up, she asked, "I thought they called us abnormals here?" When Batman commented on his powers, Kamala's jaw dropped. She stopped as the person in the bat suit just turned around and smiled. The old man's coolness score had just increased substantially on Kamala's fan-scale. Somewhere around Tony Stark level.
That dropped down a couple of minutes later as the man commented on Kamala and Molly's home in a tone that suggested a disapproving parent. Before she could muster a counter-argument, Kamala spotted Molly running towards her, pink bunny hat, Doop plushie and Princess Powerful cape all ready. "Kitty man?" Kamama was out of synch for a second. Then realization hit as Batman reacted to the bundle of Energy that was Molly. "Oh, yeah. Molly, this is Batman. He's not as bad as he looks." She pointed at the other hero. "Batman, this is Molly, she isn't as bad as she smells." The clothes had gotten dirty again mere days after their trip to the laundromat. The next step was to find a public swimming pool that wouldn't turn them down. "We punched at least a dozen bad guys tonight. It was awesome!" Kamala waved two fists excitedly in the air. "They had machine guns and everything and were selling drugs and doing other shady business." Ms Marvel always recounted her rounds to Molly. Most of them weren't that exciting.

Molly inhaled sharply, her eyes wide, as the scary man with the pointy ears came closer and bent down to her level. She looked afraid, like he was going to eat her, until he said the magic words I'm with Kamala. Then he mentioned he was a hero and the smile was back on her grimy little face. "I like your hat!" she announced, meaning the cowl Batman wore.
She didn't have to introduce herself, the older teen did that for her, which left Molly time to contemplate the really important questions. "Why do you look so scary? Were you bit by a radioactive bat? Can you fly? Are you a vampire?" she asked Dick in rapid succession, barely taking the time to breathe in between.
Kamala's recount of the evening distracted her from any more questions, though, as she turned to the older girl with sparkling eyes. "Machine guns!" she echoed excitedly. Molly loved to hear the tales of even Kamala's less gripping adventures. This one sounded like real hero work! A spike of jealousy flooded the little girl.
"I wanna go next time!" Molly whined, hugging Doop and pouting up at Kamala in a way that had always worked with Niko and Karolina. She then turned to inform Batman: "I'm a superhero too! My codename is Princess Powerful, and I have a cape like you!" The little girl twirled to show it off.

What happened to the first Batman...
Where to even start on answering that. Batman except silent for a bit trying to avoid the subject. Figuring the teen wouldn't drop it he finally answered. "It was passed to me.. When he passed, I'd rather not talk about it." Herefocused on the situation at hand.
Batman now stood in a make-shift sewer home. Two kids living down here alone continued to bother him. Maybe it was the old feeling of responsibility from his Titan days, no it felt different. He felt a special connection to these girls. The way they looked at him. It was a look he rarely saw in his own world. Innocence and hope. Gotham was a dead city. It was corrupt and hope seemed so rare there. However, these girls were a refreshing change of pace.
He smiled leaning back watching Kamala wave around and jump up and down excitedly telling Molly of their adventures. Molly seemed super excited as well. She asked to come along next time. Batman chuckled raising his eyebrows. Maybe he should make them his Robins. Actually... that wasn't such a bad idea.
Molly approached him and spoke happily.
"I'm a superhero too! My codename is Princess Powerful, and I have a cape like you!" The little girl twirled to show it off.
Batman smiled at her and knelt down. "Heh, Princess Powerful huh? I bet you'd send the Bad guys running for their mommies. I like you kid." He petted her head gently. "And here a cool secret! I was a kid hero too. Started around your age. Back then I was called Robin the Boy Wonder, but your name is cooler. And your capes better than mine too."
He stood back up and turned to Kamala. "Your names Kamala then, and this is Molly. You guys seem like you adapted pretty well. I'm impressed." He pulled his mask off showing off his handsome face, his hair was slightly messy, but in an attractive way. "Since I know you're real names might as well say mine. Name's Dick Grayson, pleasure to meet you both."
He gave them a smile before walking up to Kamala. He pulled out his wallet and opened it taking out about $700 and handing it to her. "I'll be leaving another $7,000 for you tomorrow. I'll put you guys up in a good hotel. Also, that communicator is always connected to me so if you ever need me jsut call." He also took out a Batpen and wrote down his address. "IF you ever need a place to hideout or stay.... don't wait just come find me."

When he passed... Kamala's first reaction was to immediately build a story of how the previous Batman died. Maybe he had fallen off the empire state tower, dragging with him his arch-nemesis... Mr Colors? Reality caught up to Miss Fanfic however. Heroes die. And they certainly did so more in this world than in hers. "Molly, he looks scary because he pretends to be a bad guy." At least, that was what Kamala figured. "And I already asked him. No powers, sadly."
Kamala smiled when Molly asked to come with them the next time. The Batman gave an awesome response. Again, more fanfic material bloomed in Ms Marvel's head. "Robin. Like the bird?" That seemed a tad out of character. Inquisitive, Kamala asked, "And how did you jump from a Robin to a Bat? The two... seem rather different." That's when the other superhero took off his mask. Kamala immediately felt herself go crimson. Secret identities were still a taboo topic in her mind. Something you didn't share that easily. It didn't help that Mr Grayson was gorgeous. "Er, thanks." She stammered in response to the money. The two underage mutants needed it. She wasn't sure about the hotel idea however. "Communicator, right." She checked the device was still in her pocket.
"Thanks for the money. And the communicator."The offer to come with him however was still a tad creepy. "Maybe another time." There was a guilty look as she took in the state of their current "home". But leaving Princess Powerful with a man she barely knew didn't sound good. "When do you usually do your rounds? Maybe that would be a good time for Molly to start her super-heroing." Having a grown-up supervise made some sense. At least, as much sense as everything else happening right now.

"Whoaaaaa!" Molly said in breathless wonder. "You have no powers?" She wondered if he was kind of like Iron Man with a funny theme. Maybe the suit he was wearing could do cool things. It would require more investigation, but right now she was being complimented by an adult and Molly was more than content to beam up at him while he patted her head and told her how awesome she was. She was very awesome, thank you very much.
"You were a kid superhero too!?" she exploded while Kamala tried to logic out bats and birds. The little girl in pink had no such qualms about the lack of logic and instead bounced cheerfully behind Dick to inspect his less cool cape. She wasn't so sure she agreed. It was really big! Molly, never the shy child, ducked under it with a giggle. She missed the reveal because she was busy playing hide and go seek inside his cape, but she didn't miss him telling them his name.
"Your name is DICK!?" Molly exploded out from under the cape, absolutely horrified that someone's parents could be so cruel, and not understanding that it was a perfectly normal nickname long before it meant anything that middle-schoolers would giggle at. "But Gert said that was a bad word and Chase couldn't use it around me!" she protested. Molly trusted Gert to know what she was talking about. She was almost as smart as Alex! Before he died...and stuff.
Her bright eyes widened when she realized he wasn't wearing the mask. Molly stared in confusion for a second before deciding: "You're really pretty!" was the right thing to say to a man dressed like a giant bat.
The kid's confusion melted away to elated joy when he handed Kamala money and mentioned something about staying in a hotel. That would be so cool! But even if they couldn't the money meant luxuries. "Can we get the cereal with the marshmallows in it?" she asked excitedly bouncing around Kamala in something of a twirling dance. She only bounced higher when the older girl suggested superhero-rounds. "Yes! Yes! YES!" the child shouted, each reiteration punctuated by another hop that made the ears of her bunny hat flop as she squeezed her plushie tightly.
