ABILITIES

Skill Set • Parkour [Parkour, the skill where one is typically located in an urban setting and has to move rapidly from point A to point B of a location where one might climb, scale and jump over obstacles in their way. Growing up within an urban area allowed Phoenix to acquire this skill set as she used to have to jump over fences in order to get to places like the local park or school in a timely fashion. Not only that, but she thought it made her look cool when she did the climbing, jumping and scaling thus, she would practice so that she could show off her 'cool skill' at school to her friends.]

Multilingual [Located in a poor urban area had introduced Phoenix to a number of cultures where she managed to pick up a few languages from neighbors and friends although, she isn't fluent in these languages, she is still able to communicate with these speakers with her basic knowledge. Though, she will admit she isn't the best, she's quite proud to know that she can at least have a broken conversation with someone. The languages she learned were Spanish, Russian, German and Polish.]

Contemporary Dance [An odd skill, Phoenix was able to attend dance lessons while she was in middle and high school due to a program that her school funded which helped pay for these lessons as long as the student held an overall grade point average of 3.0 at the end of each quarter. She excelled at her lessons and even won a few local competitions, though she was never given the chance to go to States, Regionals or Nationals due to her parents not having enough money to take a vacation though, she was just happy with dancing for fun. Through dance, her balance and coordination skills are a lot better, then those who didn't participate in dance yet, it isn't on an enhanced level like some of her fellow enhanced humans.]

Hand to Hand Combat [Trained by FADE, Phoenix has learned and grasped the basics of hand to hand combat after all, her sole mission is to protect her handler when it comes to interactions with enhanced humans where her life means nothing in comparison to their life after all, she's easily replaceable and honestly that doesn't her feelings at all.]

Abilities & Powers • Fire Manipulation [With the ability to control the kinetic energy of atoms to generate and manipulate fire, one would have sworn that Phoenix's parents could see into the future though, her name was pure irony as her mother was very fond of mythical creatures, especially the Phoenix. Even so, long-range attacks normally consists of fireballs or fire-blasts while at range attacks are merely trapping one into a pit of fire where she'll either engaged in combat where her punches and kicks will often result in her opponents being burnt as well. ]

Fire Breathing [Odd, and hardly ever used, Phoenix can exhale fire from her mouth, similar to the mystical creatures known as the Phoenix and the Dragon. Mostly, the skill is used when she's bored as she will lie on her back and just watch the flames rise into the air with each exhale she makes before disappearing when she inhales. Sadly, unlike those mystical creatures, if the power were to be used, then it could only be used from a short distance about a couple feet away. ]


Weaknesses • Mortal [Like everyone else on planet earth, Phoenix is a normal human except for her Phoenix like powers with fire, but she can die from a bullet, a car crashing into her, falling from an extreme heights or an illness. She isn't an unstoppable force and practically anything that can kill a human can kill her too.]

[Kill Switch] The fate of life and death doesn't rest upon the shoulders of nature itself nor does it rest upon Phoenix, but instead the handler she is assigned too. With a simple switch that is wired to Phoenix, all her handlers needs to do is press a button and she's dead.

Zero Hope [With the death of her parents, Phoenix has lost hope in the world and could careless about what happens to her at this point. After all, her parents were the center of her universe and the mere mention of them will make her start sobbing on spot as she knows it's her fault that her parents are dead.]

Insomniac [Knowing that she was the cause of her parent's death and having frequent nightmares of their deaths, Phoenix has trouble sleeping at nights and thus, she'll perform poorly for the day due to the lack of sleep. Of course, on the occasion, she has been known to pass out as well, though it rarely happens and when it does, someone is always willing to throw a cold bucket of water on her.]

Overall Personality • Before the death of her parents, and recruitment into the Federal Agency of Deviant Extermination, Phoenix was an intelligent girl who was kind to everyone she met which meant, she grew up with a lot of friends due to her heart of gold. She wasn't the type of girl to jeer or mock at her fellow classmates and instead, often took a stand against the bullies. A lot of her classmates saw her as a hero, though she was always quick to say she was just doing what was right. Not only that, but she was a respectful individual as well, and tried her best to behave though, sometimes her perception of Justice had landed her in trouble at times as she became known to talk back to authority figures and out right challenge them. Overall, she was a sweet girl who would never harm an innocent soul.

Yet, Phoenix changed and became something that she can't even consider to be herself any more as after the death of her parents, and recruitment into F.A.D.E she started to smile less nor was she as cheerful as she used to be in life. She doesn't like to show emotions, and reminds a lot of people of a robot as she refuses to express anything as there is nothing to smile about in her life. Not only that, but she rarely speaks unless spoken too and sometimes, if she can get away with it, she'll just stare at the person as a response. Overall, she's just a mindless drone who does as she's told.

Overall History • Ellenore, and Joven were two of the proudest parents when Phoenix Jane Opelle was born, and vowed to protect their little precious gift from above from the evils within the world after all, the two were enhanced humans who managed to hide their true identities from the world thus, they knew their only daughter was going to have the burden of being enhanced as well. That's when her mother, Ellenore had decided on the name Phoenix, as from the ashes of the world, would raise a bird of fire and beauty which was what her daughter had done, sort of.

Sadly, the two parents learned that raising a baby was quite expensive especially, one that had an enhancement that dealt with fire. Money was always an issue as there was never enough of it even with Joven working two jobs in order to support his family and Ellenore couldn't work just yet, until Phoenix learned to control her powers.

When Phoenix turned four years old, a neighbor volunteered to take care of the child so that Ellenore could work. Of course, both parents were worried about Phoenix's power until one morning, the neighbor that had volunteered to watch Phoenix came over to pick up the girl from her mother who protested until the kind neighbor explained that she knew who they were. The neighbor, Joeann, was an enhanced who could mimic other enhance's powers and even sense when other enhanced humans were around hence why she knew that the family were enhanced humans.

From that day, Joeann watched Phoenix as Ellenore started to apply for jobs until she managed to get two part times jobs in order to help support her family. With two parents working two jobs. Phoenix got to spend a lot of time with Joeann who was more capable of showing Phoenix, how to hide her powers from the world.

When school came around, Phoenix was ready to 'pretend' to be a normal girl who loved wearing skirts and watching Disney movies. On her first day, she practically befriended everyone in her class plus, several other students from different classes as well. She was a little social butterfly and didn't have a single problem with fitting in which made her parents quite proud. Of course, her parents knew it was never too young to teach Phoenix the importance of a good education and encouraged the girl to try her hardest with simple rewards of extra television time at night, candy and even money! It was because of her parents active involvement with her school that Phoenix excelled in all her classes.

By time middle school rolled around, Phoenix was in the top of her class and was allowed to take several honors classes along with an AP course as well that the local college offered the school where she would leave middle school for an hour during the morning in order to attend the AP course at the local college. Not only that, but she qualified for the schools dance program, joined by a local dance studio to encourage kids to do something productive with their lives instead of doing drugs and joining gangs.

Joining the program, Phoenix attempted Ballet, Jazz and Tap before finding her place in Contemporary dance where she was able to express herself better in Contemporary dance, then the dances she had tried before. Like her academics, Phoenix worked hard to the point where she didn't have a social life outside of school as she was dedicated to keeping her grade point average high for college and the dance program.

High school wasn't any different from her middle school years as she took several honors classes along with some AP classes as well in order for her college application to look good though, the only slight difference between Middle and High school was the fact that her dance instructor would take her to local dance competition where she became something of a local star in her hometown as she always managed to snag first place with her creativity and passion.

Graduation as valedictorian of her class, and she gave a speech at her graduation ceremony which her parents were unable to attend due to work, but Joeann had record the entire thing so that her parents could watch it with Phoenix later. Finished with High school, Phoenix attended college out of state at a dance academy where she wanted to become a professorial dancer.

Attending the dance academy for six years, Phoenix was excited to return home with her new boyfriend that she had gained during her last year at the dance academy. Phoenix's boyfriend, Maxwell, was a man who could sense powers like Phoenix's neighbor, Joeann where he approached Phoenix and the two talked in private about the hardships of having to hide who they were and it was during that conversation that Maxwell kissed her. The two went steady, and would even dance together during class, which might not have been magical to some, it was completely magically for Phoenix. Honestly, her life felt like a Disney movie at that point as she would be able to support herself and her parents to where they could both retire.

Returning home with Maxwell, her parents both took a liking to the boy though, Joeann didn't seem to want to have anything to do with the boy. She even warned Phoenix that trouble was coming and she should take her parents and run, though she didn't listen, which is something she regrets. Two weeks after returning home, the home was invaded by a task force known as F.A.D.E where Phoenix's parents were murdered attempting to protect their only daughter and Phoenix got to live due to Maxwell's report to his Handler declaring her 'fit' for duty.

Recruited for the program, Phoenix lost herself, losing her parents had been unbearable along with the flirtatious remarks of her ex-boyfriend who didn't seem to get the hint that she didn't like him anymore. On top of that, she went through six months of basic training to become a dog, a faithless little companion to a handler who controls her lifespan with a single click of a button. She isn't a happy camper and on top of that, she's about to meet her 'handler' soon...
