Likes • Quiet, being right, punching people in the face, logging in his journal, the thrill of the fight, meditating, tea with lemon, animals
Dislikes • Himself, Ninjas, being patronized, stupid people, stupid people who won't leave him alone, patrolling in hail, being a wingman
Dreams • That maybe one day he'll forgive himself for what happened to Grayson. That maybe, before then, Bruce will forgive him. And to one day live a life without the violence that is all he has ever known.
Fears • becoming a heartless killing machine bent on nothing but destruction.
Overall Personality • Describing Damian Wayne in a single word is easy. That word would be: jerk. Damian is a hard person to get to know, and a hard person to like. He is violent, self important, precocious, arrogant, and spoiled. The young man is blunt and to the point, it doesn't matter who he's talking to. He also only gives respect to people he feels have earned it. When faced with something he doesn't understand his first instinct is to usually provoke it. He gets into fights quickly, often too quickly, and his ego is large enough that it routinely clashes with everyone around him. It probably also doesn't help that killing is his first thought process, something ingrained into him by the league. Damian isn't afraid to kill. He just tries to make it a last resort.
Facts are very important to Damian. Emotions and people are not quite as important. This boy does everything based on logic. He's not going to put his emotions into his actions if he can control it. He also doesn't understand why people put so much stock in emotions either. Which is mildly ironic considering he has a lot of anger issues, and will lash out without any warning at all.
Because Damian has an unhealthy habit of bottling up all of his emotions until they explode in a fit of rage the youngest Wayne can be incredibly volatile. If the wrong thing sets him off he will try to kill you. Even if he doesn't really want to. This extreme fight or flight response triggered by the helplessness of being unable to control his own emotions is one of the few times Damian is not totally in control of his own facilities. These episodes are terrifying for the young man, and so he tends to avoid situations and people that will trigger them if it's at all possible. Because of his somewhat…erratic tendencies people find it difficult to be around Damian. He shows affection differently. He also works hard to put into practice the things other people want him to do, to make them proud.
When Damian is frightened, and it actually happens more often then he likes to let on, he reacts by becoming more of a brat. He will lash out, act incredibly immature (in a deadly way), and pick fights with everyone and anyone. A very good example of this was when he first came to Wayne manor. He was incredibly disrespectful to Tim, his Father, and Alfred because he was afraid of their rejection. Acting callous is one of the ways Damian hides his fears, especially his emotional ones. Like any other bird, Damian puffs up when he feels threatened. So, if he's acting more obnoxious then usual, it probably means he's anxious. Battle situations rarely make Damian as nervous as social situations.
Because of the way he was raised Damian has problem dealing with people on a personal level. Almost everyone he meets has to fit into a specific category: enemy, rival, mentor, or partner. Because of this his friendships are strained, almost curious experiences. He obviously wants to be like others, and make friends, but he's not entirely sure how he ought to go about doing this. He's managed some strained relationships with patient, outcast people like his best friend Colin, but anyone who wants a friendship with Damian generally has to push for it.
Damian does have his moments where his innocence and immaturity shine through. He might have been raised in a situation where he is no stranger to violence, but there is still a lot about the world he doesn't totally understand. It becomes fairly obvious in these instances that a lot of his bravado is a cover for insecurity. Somewhere, under all the spikes and quills and layers, is a little boy that simply wants to be accepted. A lot of the things he does is because he is afraid that the most important people in his life won't love him, or the people he calls friends won't want anything to do with him if he doesn't measure up.
Because of this, ever since Dick's death, Damian has been dealing with an almost crippling sense of guilt. He failed. Damian's greatest childhood fear, that no one would ever love him, came true. Even his own father abandoned him leaving the youngest Wayne feeling completely and utterly alone. Clark and Diana have helped him. He might have gone to a much darker place without their warmth and guidance. However, because he was so desperate for acceptance Damian also blindly followed their teachings. Growing up brainwashed by the League of Assassins the al Ghul heir was always susceptible to being drawn back into another cult. He now follows the Regime with a loyalty displayed by few others. Damian is a trusted assassin and soldier, but anyone who decides to pry a few layers down will find a desperate, guilt-wracked young man trying to find his place in the world.

ABILITIES
Weapons •
NIGHTWING SUIT
This suit is similar to Dick's classic Nightwing suit with a couple of modifications. The wing is able to change color, generally red and blue, but also grey for stealth-mode. As for functionality, the suit protects the wearer from the elements. It is made of Nomex fire-resistant, triple weave Kevlar-lined material. It is also electricity insulated, and holds it's own one use charge before needing to be recharged. The suit is also light sensitive and will darken or lighten based on the surrounding lighting. It also has built in lock picks in the fingers of the gauntlets, for escaping sticky situations easily.
BODY ARMOR
The Nightwing suit comes with supplemental body armor. It's red in color and covers his entire torso and neck with caps for his shoulders and thigh coverings. When worn the classic Nightwing wings are not visible. Unlike Dick who almost never wore his, Damian will wear his more often. He might be just as skilled as his old mentor was, but he still has a penchant for charging into battle headfirst.
ESCRIMA STICKS
A pair of escrima sticks that hold an electric charge. They can also be interlocked to form a bo-staff with an electric charge. Once the charge runs out they have to be plugged back in.
UTILITY BELT
Like every member of the BatClan Damian has this super trendy accessory. His utility belt carries "wingdings" (modified Batarangs), smoke pellets, tear gas, grappling hook, breathing mask, and lock picks.
STABBY THINGS
Damian generally has on his person things that Batman disapproves of. He always has at least one throwing knife hidden somewhere on him. It comes in handy. He has a pair of brass knuckles that Batman does not approve of as well, but that Damian has pulled out on numerous occasions in order to get people to talk. Brass knuckles to the face have that effect. On occasion Damian can also be seen running around with a Katnana.
MASK
Despite being super fashionable, Damian's mask also has different lens settings that, at the turn of a dial, allow for him to have things like nightvision, clarity in fog or smoke, and the ability to see heat signatures.
Skill Set •
HAND TO HAND COMBAT/MARTIAL ARTS
Damian Wayne knows how to handle himself in a fight. He was trained by his mother, and the League of assassins, as well as Batman. Damian knows just as many martial arts as his father. His own opinion is that he uses them more effectively. He knows exactly how to attack for maximum damage and while he holds back, he's not as kind as some of the members of the Bat-Family. Damian has proven that he is one of the most skilled members of the Bat-Family and has gone on to match, or surpass his predecessors. He likes to brag that he knows a thousand ways to kill a man. I wouldn't question it, unless you've got a death wish.
STEALTH
Possibly due to his extensive training with the League of Assassins Damian is one of the stealthiest members of the Batfamily. He has proven that he is able to sneak past Batman as well as the older Robins. He has also proven himself capable of sneaking into the Batcave and remaining undetected until he felt it was necessary. This Wayne understands the shadows nearly as well as his father, if not better, and is a sneaky twerp. He was also the most silent of the children to inhabit the Wayne mansion and had a terrible penchant for accidentally startling Alfred.
WEAPONS
Damian has been extensively trained in swordsmanship and throwing. While he no longer uses a sword, if armed correctly, he may very well be a match for any swordsman(or woman) he crosses. The boy was also trained in the use of shrunken by the League, and Batarangs by Batman. He has also been taught escrima, and is adept at using Nightwing's signature weapon.
DRIVING/MECHANIC
Damian has been driving since he was eight and knows how to properly handle vehicles. Damian is also a skilled mechanic and has been shown to be able to fix his father's hovercar at the age of ten.
HACKING
Damian has been shown to hack into computers, such as the BatComputer, and Tim's computer. He is not a fast hacker, but he knows his way around a computer. Honestly, he'd rather be punching people in the face.
INTELLECTUAL/BUSINESS
Talia and the League did not just hone Damian's body to be the perfect weapon. They also extensively worked on his mind. He has been taught the classics, and has enough of an understanding in most languages to get by. The boy is only perfectly fluent in Arabic and English. He spent a lot of his time perfecting his english so that he would be able to articulate himself when he met his father, the Great Batman. His mother also taught him how to control a company, how to track down financial irregularities, and how business can be like war. To prepare for being with Batman he was educated in forensics, criminology, and general detective work. Since living with his father, he has learned even more in these aspects.
DETECTIVE
As the son of the world's greatest detective, Damian has received plenty of training in this field. Whether he always has the patience for it is another thing.
Abilities & Powers •
MIMICRY
Damian can imitate anyone's voice and speech patterns perfectly if he has heard them talk at length. It is a good skill for playing pranks confusing voice recognition software and he has used it to get into the Batcave on multiple occasions. He cannot imitate women, however, unless they have a deep enough voice.
Weaknesses •
I AM HUMAN WATCH ME STAB THINGS
Damian Wayne is a human. He might have been trained to resist showing the effects of pain or general damage for longer then your average human but when it comes down to it: you shoot him, he dies, you cut off his head, he dies. He could also get pneumonia and die. So lots of things can kill him.
BALL OF RAGE
Damian has a terrifying anger that is always simmering just under the surface. He doesn't always act on this anger, but it's there, and it can easily be used against him. The boy can be easily drawn into fights against his better judgement. He is also just really difficult to get along with.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PEOPLE
This kid doesn't have terribly fantastic social skills. By that I mean they're crap. He has absolutely no idea how to go about dealing with other people, but he desperately wants to. Even though he acts like a loner and will rail against attention he wants to be accepted. His greatest fear is that the people he wants most to be accepted by will hate him and he will spend his short life alone. He desperately wants his father's approval, and to one day live a life without the violence that is all he has ever known.

Overall History • Damian's earliest memories involve training. Until he was eight years of age, the boy lived with his mother, Talia Al Ghul, who had him trained with the League of Assassins. He learned to kill at a young age and was put through more rigorous training then is probably healthy, or sane, to put a child through. The boy was very curious about who his father was, and asked constantly enough that his mother made him a deal: if he could beat her in a spar, then he was ready to meet his father. Of course, any mother wants to see their child succeed, and she helped him in his efforts to get to see the man who was his father. At the age of eight he finally bested her in a spar (though, whether this was pure luck or Talia letting him win is undetermined) and then she began to work with him on the plan for meeting his father.
The young Wayne met his father at the age of eight. After a confrontation with some Man-Bat-Ninjas in England, Bruce was introduced to his son. For some reason Damian wasn't privy to Talia decides it's a good idea to leave him with Bruce, probably in an effort to disrupt Batman's work, and Damian is brought to Gotham to see the BatCave and meet the rest of the family. Almost immediately Damian battled Tim, who he saw as a rival, for the position of Robin. This forced Batman to ground Damian.
Nothing stops a Robin. Not even grounding. Damian managed to escape, don a variant of the Robin costume made of various costumes he found around the Batcave, and got into a fight with his first villain: Spook, who he quickly decapitated. Bruce decided that Damian was not ready to be out on the field yet, and confronts the boy's mother. This ends explosively, literally, and Damian is left in need of organ transplants.
Damian stayed with his mother for a time after that, dealing with not-dying at the hands of his Grandfather who apparently needed Damian's body for a stable regeneration. News of his father's death drew him back to Gotham, ready to take up the mantle of Batman. All of the previous Robins fought for that cowl, with Dick being the winner. Because Dick respected Tim as an equal, he took Damian on as Robin. Their partnership was glorious.
Damian really opened up to Dick as they slowly got to know one another. During his time with Dick, Damian began to grow a conscience, and even began to demonstrate empathy towards other children. The Al Ghul's were less happy with the partnership. There was an incident in which Damian broke his spine and had it replaced by his not-so-benevolent mother. It was actually remotely controlled and she used Slade Wilson to attempt to murder Dick using Damian's body. The entire incident really bothered him, and left him with some control issues.
Dick decided after that Damian needed some practice working with other people and sent the boy to the Teen Titans. The arrogant young Boy Wonder came to the conclusion that because he was Robin he ought to be in charge. Within the first five minutes of meeting the team he had already gotten into a fist fight with Ravager. The entire experience proved to be good, however, and Damian gained some allies.
Good things can't last forever, though. Bruce came back and retook up his mantle as Batman. Damian had issues working alongside his father as he had grown accustomed to Dick. The two often clashed as neither knew how to express themselves or their feelings. Bruce made recordings for Damian, which the boy found and listened to, and they slowly began to bond. Damian continued to work with his father, until Bruce Wayne disowned him.
Joker crossed a line when he nuked Metropolis. He deserved to die a thousand times over, and not just for that either. He'd killed so many people in Gotham. He'd killed Jason. Then he killed Lois and her unborn child. Damian couldn't blame Superman's anger, and it was no secret that he approved that the Man of Steel was able to do the one thing his father could never manage. But Joker's death was the catalyst for a rift in the Justice League in ways the young Robin would never have imagined.
Damian was behind him when Superman established his new unified government. The idea of keeping peace by whatever means necessary appealed to the young assassin in a way his father's teachings had only frustrated him. The Boy Wonder didn't express his opinions in front of the rest of the family, though. Bruce would never understand. But Dick did, when he let it slip, and the boy was grateful that the man agreed not to tell Batman.
They had been sparring the day Dick died. Damian would look back on it with regret, because he'd lost his temper in the fight that morning instead of enjoying the last few hours he'd have with his former-mentor. The man who was almost more of a father than Bruce had ever been was easy going, though, and he easily shrugged it off when Bruce called them over to watch a broadcast. Superman was going to remove the super-villains from Arkham Asylum. Nightwing and Batman were going to stop him, but Damian didn't feel like protecting criminals, and he made his sentiments very clear. They left him there in the Batcave to stew.
He called Superman and Wonder Woman for their own good. Or, at least, that's what he told himself when he made the call and warned Superman that Batman and Nightwing were coming to stop him. Damian was waiting with the League members that had sided with Superman when Bruce arrived. He stood calmly between Wonder Woman, and Superman despite the fact that his heart was racing a million miles a minute. Cyborg shot him a reassuring smile right before the thundercloud that was Batman rained on their parade.
Bruce was furious with the betrayal and Damian hid behind the adults trying not to feel ashamed. This was justice stopping the criminals from hurting anyone else! Why didn't Father understand?
Batman was the first to attack. He incapacitated Cyborg with a virus, but Dick was quick to save his old friend and try to diffuse the situation. Then, of course, Harley had to go and free all the inmates in Arkham Asylum. Grundy broke through the floor and grabbed Damian pulling the boy underground with him. Nightwing, Superman, and Wonder Woman were quick to come to Damian's aid as the monster of a man crushed Robin's tiny body in his massive fist. Superman saved him. Superman used his heat vision to sever Grundy's arm after Dick asked him to do it. Grundy could regenerate, he reminded them, as he pried the massive severed fingers away from his struggling little brother. Everything was going to be okay.
But it wasn't.
Robin and Nightwing were given orders by Batman to put the prisoners back in their cells. Damian didn't want to. He was still angry with his father, and he took his anger out of the criminals he was forcing back into their cells. The boy almost beat Riddler to death, hitting him again and again, until Nightwing told him to stop. The two fought when Damian redirected his anger onto Dick who had the gall to tell him what Robins did and didn't do.
"STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!" he raged, throwing one of his kali sticks at Dick, just like any other of his temper tantrums. But this time Nightwing didn't catch it and make fun of him. This time it hit Dick in the head. This time it knocked him to the floor. This time it snapped his neck.
Damian didn't understand at first. He thought it was a joke, but when Dick didn't respond the boy realized that the man was dead and it was all his fault. He bowed his head over his former-mentor's body, as tears ran down his cheeks, and apologized even though he knew it wouldn't bring Dick back.
When the adults arrived to see a motionless Dick and a sobbing Damian it didn't take the world's greatest detective long to figure out what had happened even before his youngest tried to apologize. Bruce screamed at him, and Damian flinched away, not even fighting back when he was shoved away from Nightwing's body. Superman and Wonder Woman comforted the lost Robin because Batman wasn't going to ever take him back.
He found a new father-figure in Clarke, and a new mother-figure in Diana. The League took him in, training and caring for the boy, and he grew under their careful guidance for years as he went from a child to a young man. The day he turned eighteen he received a package that Dick must have made for him long before he died. Inside was the Nightwing suit, and a chirpy little note, "What are you waiting for? An invitation? Happy Birthday! - Dick"
Clark approved of the new costume change, and Damian practically glowed with pride when the man said it suited him. He went off on a few missions for the Regime as Nightwing before he ran into his father again. That was awkward. The young vigilante was hunting down Zsasz and had cornered the criminal in an alleyway when Batman dropped down on them. At first Bruce thought it was Dick wearing the suit. Damian was the same height now as his old mentor. It was pretty obvious, though, when Damian opened his mouth that it wasn't the favored son.
They battled in that alleyway: father versus son. Damian might have been faster, but Bruce had more experience. Batman knocked down Nightwing, and declared his son dead to him before leaving the young man bruised and broken. When the youngest Wayne woke up, something he didn't really want to do, he didn't notice anything was amiss until he tried to go back home.
It was gone. Everything he'd ever known was gone.
