Kamala came back form her nightly routine bruised and tired. She dropped from the roof like a bag of potatoes. A heavy bag of potatoes, landing on giant feet. The hero then dragged herself to the sewer entrance. She paused for a moment. Open? Odd... Hopefully Molly didn't venture out of their hiding spot at night. Or maybe it was one of the other abnormals. The shapeshifter shrank her body to normal again. She slipped into the manhole, closing her eyes to begin adjusting to the additional darkness.
When she opened them, her heart started beating fast. What? There was a giant burn mark along the wall. "Molly?" Legs began elongating. Kamala felt her breath grow heavy as she began running towards their hideout. "MOLLY?" Super-lungs yelled through the tunnels. There were more signs of fighting all over the tunnels. A broken pipe jutted from the wall. Kamala jumped over a giant hole in the ground. An ice-cold feeling crawled along her back as she spotted blood. "MOLLY!" She ran harder than ever before to reach her little adopted sister.
The teen hero arrived to a scene of total destruction. Molly's fort lay burning, illuminating more destruction. Kamala tried to remain calm. Think. Think. Look for clues. There was no sign of Molly. Ms Marvel looked around. Most of their stuff was either missing or destroyed. A helmet. The first object that hadn't belonged to the two girls. Kamala recognized it immediately. "FADE." Even with the huge dent, she would have recognized the hated item. She had run into enough of them during her patrols. And now they had taken her Molly. Think. Think. There was no body. FADE didn't captured abnormals, especially the young and powerful. Oh Allah. Grabbing her phone, Kamala scrolled to find Dick's phone number. Molly missing. Attack in sewers. FADE. Need help. Bring Supplies. Abnormals hurt. K. She was extrapolating a little from the fighting and signs of blood. Painting the worst case scenario.
Tears started welling up inside her chest. The burning fort illuminated one of Molly's hats. The teen walked over. It was all trampled over. Kamala picked it up by one of the bunny ears. She gave it a careful shake. Then her fist clenched over the dirty piece of cloth. They haven't been here long. Which meant she could still catch up to them. Kamala lifted the bunny hat over her head. She then put it on with fierce anger. Mud dripped onto her shoulder. Then she was running again, in the same direction as the heavy, armored footsteps.
