"A bunny?" Elisabete smiled at the little girl. "Was it nice and fluffy like me?" The rattling sound of cookies in a box followed her as Mother Spider dropped to the floor. Her arms moved around busily. The lower pair rummaged through the bag on he side. "Oh, did I mention I made a friend of my own today?" The middle pair of hands straightened the apron with the heart-shaped spider. "You would have liked her Molly. She's a magician. We bumped into each other shopping for groceries." Three eyes studied the space around Molly. "But it seems you don't know her." The last pair of eyes were looking at the boy.
"Fourteen? Not yet a man, but not quite a child anymore." Elisabete stated before adding, "These are tough times for teen abnormals. I grew into my mutation late." When boy's stomach growled, Mother Spider's head perked up. She took out her box of cookies, rearranged them slightly then presented three to their guest. Two were berry-flavored, infused with the excitement of a baseball fan. The last cookie was rarer, honey with the slightest sliver of trust. "Grab these. I'll also make us some tea. Perhaps you could join us for dinner in a few?" Elisabete's arm still holding the cookie box stretched out towards her little angel. "Molly, you can also help yourself to some cookies." These were all reasonably safe emotions.
Mother Spider turned a little quiet as she hugged the little girl. When Molly asked her if the spider could find Cor's mother, Elisabete's response came instantly. "Yes, I can see that. We can definitely give it a try." The spider's eyes gleamed as she spotted a tasty ribbon of hope. Slowly disengaging from the hug, the villain faced Cor. She began touching his link to his mother. It was hard to see, but the teen's attention would now be focused on it. "Can you feel her? She is alive, but far, far away." The spider came closer to Cor, one hand caressing the link between him and his mother. "You poor unfortunate soul." Another hand revealed a rarer treat: a spider-macaroon. "So sad, so true." The macaroon contained mental pain, mixed with just enough courage for action. "Perhaps we can come to an arrangement to find her." Five eyes were now focused on the boy, trying to read the steer the situation. "What do you think, would you like to find your mother?" The boy hadn't said anything yet. Only Molly mentioned the woman. But the spider caressed the link with hope and a little bit of greed.

Molly nodded that the bunny was fluffy, as the best bunnies were, even though she hadn't actually had the opportunity to touch it and find out. When Mother Spider first told her about meeting a magician the little girl's first thought was that it might be Scarlet Witch and her face lit up. This wasn't one she knew, though, which was a little disappointing but that never stopped her from being excitable. "Magic is cool!" she chirped with a wide smile. She'd love to meet any magician. Except a mean scary one.
Learning more about Cor was pout inducing. If only because it simply wasn't fair that he was so much older than her when she was taller! The girl crossed her arms in a childish pout. She was at the age where finally being a teenager was the ultimate goal and she still had two agonizingly long years to wait. Cookies were a good distracting force, though.
She managed to restrain herself to eat only one, but as the excitement of a new car buzzed through her, Molly didn't want to sit still anymore. "Stay for dinner! Stay for dinner!" the girl begged her new friend, her hat's ears flopping with each dramatic hop she made that punctuatedeach request. She'd wheedle until he said or did anything that could possible be misconstrued as a yes and then race off with a whoop!
"I'll set the table!" she declared as she whirled away from the two older abnormals.

Cor bit his lip, watching the two interact as his mind swirled.Surely...there was no way she could actually find his mom...Could it really be that easy, that simple? His eyes widened slightly at the mention of a magician. Another magic user?! Logically, he knew, not all 'abnormals' were mutants...After all, he himself had magic...but still...that was pretty surprising to hear.Glancing at Molly, he smiles slightly at her excitement, nodding. " Yeah, it really is." As Mother Spider addresses him, the boy refocused, sticking his hands in his hoodie pockets." Yeah...it is tough..." Blinking as she offered him cookies, he eyed them, but took the treats with a grateful nod, nomming on them. At the question of wanting to stay for dinner, Cor tilts his head. " You're...actually inviting me for dinner?" He felt a sudden degree of excitement, but paused, biting his lip nervously before nomming on the third cookie. The boy knew it was a probably a bad idea...but he was, slightly, feeling that he could trust this lady not to do anything crazy. If nothing else, he could shadowport out of harms reach, and if necessary, recover enough to come back to help Molly.Glancing over at the girl, Cor couldn't help but snort a little in amusement at the hopping." Do too much of that, and you'll become a bunny. I...I guess I can stay for dinner." He turned his attention back to Mother Spider as Molly whirled away, the faint hope that'd been there now picking up as she mentions she can see that, whatever that was. As the spider woman touched something, Cor gasped in surprise, noticing the link, his focus zeroing in on it, and hand curling into a tight grip on the inside fabric of his hoodie pocket. This...this was it...This was what he needs...Looking up at her as she said maybe they could work something out, his brows furrow.Glancing at the macaroon, the boy hesitantly reaches out for it, taking it if she allowed and nomming on it in thought. He soon feels pain, eyes closing shut.Mom...Glancing up at Mother Spider as she asked her last question, Cor felt a flash of courage, and the same determination that'd carried him through all this." Yes."
