Molly's throat hurt as Kamala explained why the rats wouldn't leave. She powered down, her eyes returning to their normal color, and tried very hard not to cry like a big stupid baby. The rats just wanted pancakes, just like she had, and she broke one.. Maybe she was a bad mutant. She had, after all, been the one that got her own parents killed by destroying the sacrifice and angering the big scary monster people.
She made a soft, sad sniffling noise as Kamala seemed to come to a similar conclusion. The older girl was asking for her hand, and Molly reached easily for her larger one. Human contact was always a comfort, and Molly was never one to shy away from it. Her free hand curled listlessly against the strap of her own, hat-filled, bag that she barely bothered to do more than drag as Kamala led her away from the two wounded rats. The child didn't see the dead one. Luckily.
Mention of sleeping under the stars perked Molly up slightly. She lifted her head to look up at the older girl as she picked her grimy back off the ground and slung it properly over her shoulder. "Okay," she agreed easily. The idea of superhero costumes had her really grinning. Even if it was a tired sort of smile. She was always sleepy after using her powers. "Can mine be pink?" the little girl asked as she followed along with Kamala. Her legs were shorter, and tireder, so she couldn't quite keep pace. Molly stumbled."Hey," she said, as they continued. "Does sleeping under a bridge make us hobos?" TAG: Kamala Khan

Kamala felt warmth. The smaller child had taken her hand. The two girls slowly dragged their way out of the tunnel. Trying to keep up the conversation, the teen asked, "What's in your bag?" Molly's reaction to the laundromat lifted Kamala's spirits. "Of course. With two big Ps on it." Ms Marvel didn't think too hard on how she'd fulfill her promise. She just didn't have the heart for it. But hopefully tomorrow would be a better day.
Seeing Molly, stumble, Kamala stopped. She was tired herself, but the little girl looked exhausted. Keeping a strong face, the young hero began turning heavier. Her body remained the same size. A heavy knee fell to the ground. "Hop onto my shoulders." Even tired, Molly would feel feather-light in this form. But I'll be slower. Which meant they'd go to sleep even later. Molly's next question distracted Kamala. "Yeah." She tried to find a comeback. Or at least something hopeful to say. "But we'll find a home." Pushing herself, Kamala tried to lengthen her legs, making herself taller. "Soon."

"Stuff: hats, Doop, clothes. Karolina helped me pack it when they came to rescue me because Mommy and Daddy were evil," Molly explained with a yawn. "I never unpacked it. Even at the home Captain America made me go to. Did you know he has really bad breath? If you ever decide to join the Avengers you should bring breath mints."They weren't exactly words of wisdom, but they earned her a piggy back ride! Or maybe that was the stumbling. Molly was still grinning at the idea of how awesome the costume she was going to make was going to be. Without any more prompting Molly clamored up onto Kamala's offered back. She loved piggy back rides, and rides in general, and was a little bit disappointed she was too tired to properly enjoy this one. Then she was too tired to be disappointed.Molly wrapped her arms around Kamala's neck and buried her face in the older girl's hair. The words that they'd have a home soon were comforting, but Molly hadn't had a real home since the first time she'd run away. "Okay," she mumbled in agreement and pretty promptly fell asleep.
